How we work
At Hofman Projects we do all our contracts on a cost-plus basis. Cost-plus means we add a markup to the cost of the project and that's the final price our clients pay. No hidden fees, No surprises.
Project Management Fee (Fixed Daily Rate of R1 500 - R2 000 to cover overhead costs, such as foreman, insurance, fuel, tools, etc.)
Expenses ( cost of materials, labour and sub-contractors.)
Profit % Profit markup is calculated as 10-20% on the total project cost.

Why Cost Plus Pricing

The customer does not pay for any hidden contingency fees.

Through a collaborative process the client and the contractor can work together to find cost saving initiatives.

Upon completion the client knows where every cent was spent.

If the cost can't be proven it can't be claimed.

Prevents financial disputes is the event that the scope of work increased during the project.

Cost saving initiatives decrease company profits. Hofman Projects will gladly exchanges portions of it's profit for customer satisfaction which in turn translates to repeat business.

Regular expense tracking meetings need to be held to ensure the client is up to speed with the progress of the project.

Depending on the complexity of the project Hofman Projects might insist on delivering a hard copy in person to allow us the opportunity to explain the project and its costs in more detail.
